For more than 40 years, the Southern California Council of Charitable Gift Planners (formally known as the Los Angeles Council of Charitable Gift Planners, the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Greater Los Angeles and the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern California) has been promoting philanthropy by educating, connecting and inspiring gift planning professionals throughout Southern California. For gift planners in the non-profit sector, and allied professionals in financial, legal, and consulting services, SoCalCGP offers great value for your career development dollar.

Memberships are for individuals and are not transferable or refundable; we do not offer corporate memberships. The membership cycle is on a 12-month basis and members are assigned an anniversary date; therefore, regardless of which month you join, you will receive benefits for a full 12 months.

SoCalCGP serves both the nonprofit and allied professional, whether new to the field or with many years of experience. Professional groups represented at SoCalCGP include:

Allied Professionals: Trust Officers, Financial Planners, Accountants, Insurance Consultants, Attorneys, Investment & Banking Professionals

SoCalCGP is affiliated with the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (NACGP). Membership in NACGP is not included with SoCalCGP membership and SoCalCGP is not included with NACGP membership. You may join NACGP by accessing their website at: charitablegiftplanners.org.

The Model Standards of Practice for the Charitable Gift Planner is a voluntary code of professional conduct for gift planners and donor advisors. NACGP provides an Ethics Committee to address the concerns of individual members and to work with the councils to clarify and ratify the Model Standards. All councils affiliated with NACGP must ratify the Model Standards.
