The Assistant Director (II), Alumnae Relations strengthens engagement among Mount Saint Mary’s University’s 26,000+ alumnae while advancing philanthropy, lifelong connection, and mission-centered community. This outward-facing role supports alumnae engagement, communications, volunteer opportunities, and student-to-alumnae programs that deepen affinity and encourage long-term support.
Key responsibilities include managing Career Services collaborations for (M)POWER, developing the Mount Traditions program with Student Affairs, coordinating alumnae-student engagement, and supporting philanthropic initiatives. The Assistant Director also assists with newsletters, invitations, event announcements, digital outreach, and Alumnae Association social media.
Additional duties include managing alumnae benefits, monitoring the alumnae inbox, supporting alumnae and university events, coordinating the quarterly Campus Partnerships Council, assisting with budget reconciliation, and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organization, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success requires sound judgment, initiative, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to build trusted relationships with alumnae, volunteers, faculty, staff, and students. A commitment to equity, inclusion, and representing the diversity of the Mount alumnae community is essential.
Candidates should have 2–3 years of experience in advancement, nonprofit, or higher education, proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and digital platforms. A bachelor’s degree is required; Mount Saint Mary’s University alumnae are strongly preferred. Annual salary: $75,000.
